Technology environments now span networks, cloud platforms, security systems, and emerging technologies. OMC26 will explore how OSHEAN members and partners are working together to navigate that complexity and share practical solutions.
Day One: Member Conference

No institution in Rhode Island solves its technology challenges alone. Networks touch cloud, cloud touches security, security touches governance, and every one of those threads runs back through the same small community of people who keep this state running. That is the idea behind OMC26: Complexity is a Team Sport.
Day One brings the OSHEAN community together for a full day of conversation, expertise, and the kind of hallway exchange that turns into a phone call three months later. Doors open at 7:30 AM with breakfast and registration. The day closes at 4:30 PM with root beer floats and our awards ceremony.
Nine afternoon breakout sessions run across two blocks, several of which are pairing a technology partner with an OSHEAN member institution, so every session carries both the capability and the lived experience of putting it to work. Topics span artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cybersecurity, cloud, fiber and network infrastructure, governance risk and compliance, managed services, and analytics.
Also on the program: a main-stage fireside chat with Jared Rosoff of Roblox, and a session on what quantum computing actually means for institutions like yours.

Day Two: Cyber Range Experience and Workshops

Cyber Range Experience & Technical Workshops
Rhode Island College · Institute for Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies, Providence, RI
Day Two is a different kind of day. Smaller rooms, hands on keyboards, and Rhode Island’s own Cyber Range.
Every session is capped at twenty-four participants, which means every seat is a working seat. You will not be watching a demonstration from the back of a ballroom. You will be in the exercise.
Confirmed so far: the Cyber Range Active Threat Drill, a live immersive incident exercise inside the state’s Cyber Range lab. Additional sessions are being built now across cybersecurity operations, resilience, governance and compliance, and emerging technology, and will be published here as they are confirmed.
Sign-in and breakfast open at 8:00 AM, with the welcome from OSHEAN CEO Dave Marble at 8:30 AM and sessions beginning at 8:45 AM.
Day One and Day Two are standalone events. You are welcome at either, or both.
We are still building the best workshops we can offer. As soon as the schedule and programming is locked, we will open that registration portal. Space will be limited on these workshops.
