This past holiday season, OSHEAN got involved in our new hometown of Warwick, Rhode Island, by participating in West Bay Community Action’s Adopt-A-Family program. This impactful initiative provides essential support and joy to families in need during the holiday season, ensuring that the spirit of giving resonates throughout the community.

By adopting a local family, OSHEAN has joined forces with other community members and organizations to make the holidays brighter for children and families facing economic challenges. West Bay Community Action, a vital multi-service agency in Kent County, serves over 10,500 families annually, addressing basic needs and working toward self-sufficiency for residents. The Adopt-A-Family program, alongside its companion effort – Santa for Seniors – helps provide gifts, clothing, and much-needed essentials to hundreds of households during this time of year.

The holidays are a time of warmth, connection, and community, yet they can also be a source of stress for families struggling to meet basic needs. During this time of year especially, even small acts of generosity can have a profound impact.

OSHEAN is proud to support the Warwick community and encourages others to contribute to programs like Adopt-A-Family. Whether donating holiday gifts, volunteering, or making financial contributions, every effort counts in creating a more inclusive and compassionate community.

This holiday season, OSHEAN exemplifies how businesses can play a pivotal role in uplifting local families, fostering joy, and making a difference where it matters most. Together, we can all help make the season brighter for those in need.
