OSHEAN Inc. announces the addition of powerful Cisco Thousand Eyes Digital Experience Assurance for IP and Cloud visibility for internal network operations and as a service offering to its membership.

OSHEAN realizes its mission is continually evolving toward application-specific route handling and maintenance of today’s critical traffic. Many applications require specific care to optimize performance.

“We see a very wide array of applications in our member community, from extremely high bandwidth research traffic to Esports gaming to SaaS and Cloud applications with very specific latency, security and resiliency demands. Our objective is not only to have the right routing infrastructure but offer toolsets to provide visibility to the intelligence that describes the real-time and historical behavior of those applications across our network,” said David Marble, CEO of OSHEAN.

Thousand Eyes’ assurance technology provides end-to-end visibility across end-user devices, networks, and SaaS for outage detection, WAN services visibility, and network and application synthetics for optimized digital experiences. This powerful set of solutions allows OSHEAN’s membership to have instant visibility to a user’s experience of an application across the entire digital supply chain that powers it, including hosting environments and service providers. The result is optimized performance coupled with a faster time to resolution of issues.
“We saw the need for Thousand Eyes internally and have completed an extensive proof of concept which proved its value. We then worked with Cisco to build the capability for our members to have individual instances off the primary OSHEAN domain,” said Tim Wells, Director of Strategic Programs at OSHEAN.
OSHEAN is celebrating its 25th anniversary and makes this announcement in conjunction with its annual Member Forum. The Forum highlighted OSHEAN’s key initiatives in advanced networking, Cybersecurity, and Cloud access with a glimpse into the future, particularly the impact of Artificial Intelligence.
