Mayoral Proclamation
WHEREAS, OSHEAN, Inc. was founded in 1999 as a non-profit coalition of universities, K-12 schools, libraries, hospitals, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations dedicated to providing innovative Internet-based technology solutions for its member institutions and the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, OSHEAN is an active member of the local and national technology communities, regularly contributing expertise and resources to a wide range of initiatives, from school enrichment activities to community forums on technology-related issues in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, OSHEAN is dedicated to building a communications infrastructure that will serve the needs of the region’s K-20 education institutions, municipal, state and federal government agencies, healthcare, workforce development initiatives, and economic development efforts; and
WHEREAS, OSHEAN is dedicated to creating an environment that encourages collaboration and learning through shared experiences and resources to continually develop technical and policy expertise within its member organizations; and
WHEREAS, the City of Warwick is honored to welcome OSHEAN to Warwick in the year of its 25th anniversary, and we applaud its investment in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT, I, Frank J. Picozzi, MAYOR OF THE
CITY OF WARWICK, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM JUNE 10, 2024
as
OSHEAN Day
in the City of Warwick, and do hereby recognize OSHEAN, Inc. for locating in Warwick. We welcome the addition to our community and offer sincere best wishes for many years of success.
